I was asked to participate in What Do You Carry, a website for creatives to show off some of the objects they can’t live without and use in their day-to-day lives. While this doesn’t include everything I use it gives you an idea of the “basics”. Be sure to check out @whatdoyoucarry for other creatives’ lists.

This list is certainly not an inclusive list of seventies fonts but rather a few of my favourite fonts from the era.

If you’re like me, and have a MacBook (Pro), you probably didn’t pick the MacBook just because it’s stylish but I bet it helped. In general, I think graphic designers are fairly stylish people. After all, visuals and appearance are our job—so why is it then that there aren’t a lot of nice laptop bags for us to put our MacBooks in? In the last year, I’ve been on and off looking for cases and have found a ton of options. I’ve narrowed them down to some of my favourites (in no particular order).

Another addition of Weekly Faves coming to you with some magazines, posters and, of course, clothes.

Looks like Weekly Faves is more like Bi-Weekly Faves. School is hectic but here goes.

Decided to try and keep a “Weekly Faves” which is an idea I got from Benjamin Groulx’s Tumblr, which he apparently got from me. Go figure. Will try to keep up to date.

In the spirit of Christmas I have decided to release one of my typefaces for free. This may only be available for a limited time so grab it while you can. If you do download and use this, I would love to see what you come up with.

I saw they were doing “2009 Holiday Wish Lists” at grain edit and it looked like fun so I decided to post the list I had already made for my family and friends.

I have decided that I needed to join yet another social network, Tumblr. You have the options of posting Text, Photo, Quote, Link, Chat, Audio or Video—I decided to use mine to post found images. The nice thing about my Tumblr is I can use it to post quick, rather meaningless, content as opposed to my blog where I try to keep things a little more in depth. Be sure to keep up to date with both my portfolio, blog and Tumblr.

I have redesigned the TJR website to separate the portfolio from the blog. I am still in the process of transitioning over so bear with me here.
